Matt a few weeks ago saw some lattice fencing at home depot and thought "hey, let's make a headboard out of that", to which I replied "you're nuts, we are not using FENCING for a headboard", and then we promptly left that section of Home Depot. Then with nagging and constant talking about the fencing, I caved and let him get it. The pieces snap together for the top of a fence, but he wanted to paint them and mount them to the wall. So he did. A coat of primer and 2 coats of Cloud White later (geez I love that colour), they were done. They snapped together, they got mounted to the wall, and I'm going to admit that I was wrong. Here that Matt, "I'm WRONG!" Since he never reads this blog, it will go unnoticed and I will still be the "always right" wife to him. Anyway, here are some pictures of his masterpiece!
I've decided that we don't need curtains after all in this room. I think it will be too busy on the window wall, and the dark walls and bright window seem to be enough, and the blinds are good quality already. Only thing left is new night tables and lamps! I saw the one I wanted in Pottery Barn Kids oddly enough - white, rounded with a little drawer on top and open space with a near the bottom for a basket. Matt will probably get a square, more sturdy one for his side - not sure yet. The room does need some curves with all the hard edges. The lights will match, but I haven't found ones I love, yet.
