Anyway, to make up for it, we tried to make the most of our evening time together. Friday we went down to Leslieville and had dinner at Queen Margherita's Pizza - SO GOOD. If anyone hasn't been there - GO. Appetizer, any pizza, and dessert for $25 - prix fixe. Great portion size, local veggies, just excellent, and the pizzas are very decadent - NOT for the lactose intolerant. We went to see "Bad Teacher" - I had to see it, of course. It was as the title indicated, bad. It had its moments, but the maturity level was more aimed at high school students versus teachers themselves.
Saturday I worked out, cleaned, organized, the stuff I would do on my day off without Matt, and I was a bit lonely. It was so nice out and there was only so much I wanted to do without him. So when he got home, we went for a walk along Danforth. We ended up realizing it was Summerlicious, and going to Ouzeri for dinner - again a great prix fixe with huge portions - way more than necessary. I had Greek salad, Kalamari, and a creme caramel dessert. I couldn't finish both the dinner and dessert, way more than necessary. Matt had mussels in a red wine sauce - I tried one - they didn't take like much but the sauce - good to know for future reference - I shy away from most fishy things (except shrimp and kalamari of course). It was a good walk - it took us over a half hour to get to Pape, and so the walk back was needed when I was full of food.
So on the walk home, I joked about how I wouldn't have my Sunday tradition of Starbucks and Cobs for breakfast. He usually goes in the morning and gets scones from Cobs and Starbucks either before I wake up or sometimes I go with him as well. It's a nice way to start the day, and I would have really needed it today because I have to finish all my summer school stuff. Anyway, I could go myself, but I probably wouldn't - I would just make some tea and have my usual breakfast. So Matt left at 7:30, and I woke up at 8:30 to find this:
(He got me a chocolate croissant instead)
This means that he probably rushed around, drove down to the beach, went to Cobs, went to Starbucks, and came back home, all before 7:30 AM. Wow, now that's love. I am a lucky wife - now everyone be jealous!
