So then I thought "oh geez, if I have to hook all those little capiz shells for our dining room light together, I will lose it", so I decided to open that light box. Of course. Each little dangling string has little hooks to attach them all together, which I have to do myself.
It reminded me of a post from Little Green Notebook I saw sometime last week about those crazy big Ikea lights that look like flowers. 124 flowers to be specific. All assembly required. Please read the post of her journey HERE, because the light she did turned out incredible. She took that light, cut the flowers smaller, sprayed them gold, and added glass to make it a GORGEOUS DIY Sputnik Chandelier! Just putting that light together normally would have taken forever, but she did an incredible job making it her own, and I am so impressed and inspired to start trying some of that kind of thing myself!
