Pride weekend festivities?
Most of the next pics are in black and white - bad lighting...
(just kidding, he actually did a really great job, although Jamie did as well at ours)
*PS - I do not like using my flash - EVER*
Oh my goodness this was a great day! I am so excited to publish this post because this was such an incredible day, and I am SOOOO happy that Jamie and Hope are now married, and I have yet another sister in law (# 3 to date). Jamie and Hope got married at Archeo in the Distillery District (and got ready at One King West). Here are some pictures from their amazing wedding day: First wedding glimpse this past winter! And the official invite (on the left) in May The Boys Getting Ready Jamie fixing the hair (why in my room? I have no idea) "Jamie! Look at me!" ~ "What Kathleen? Geez!" This would be a perfect picture if it weren't for the toilet, ironing board and unmade bed in the background... Matt ironing the pocket square. He put a bed sheet over the ironing board because it was covered in glitter. Pride weekend festivities? Paul doing up the tie - quadruple Windsor. They made me take more pictures but were deemed immature and inappropriate for blog content, haha. A Few Family Shots My handsome husband, drinking scotch (typical pre-wedding behaviour in this great family) Matt and I (pretty monochrome except for the belt, haha) Lynn and Pete - parents of the groom (love the peplum dress with coordinating tie!) This just says everything. Nothing like a groom drinking scotch holding a sword. Siblings posing for pictures (the longest they could sit still together without fighting - just SMILE!) Best one of the three - the boys love to talk. Meg knows the drill, though. I like Jamie's smirk Jamie telling a really REALLY long joke...that was not that funny... Punchline! Being artsy, haha Venue Set-Up String lights - directed by me, set up by some lovely brits - Tim and Ben Bunting everywhere - hand sewn and made by Hope's very talented mom, Sonia View of the courtyard entrance Great DIY with wood, chalk paint, and chalk pens Cake, gift, and guest book table with more homemade bunting! Window pane from the cottage painted creamy white and used as a seating chart The great DJs Matt and Danny Table settings with the blue dyed mason jars filled with tea lights and wildflowers I love the florals contrasted with the industrial Moved the seating chart - a better view Menus and favours - moleskin notebooks - all personalized and designed by the bride Such pretty flowers - full and lush Guests are Arriving - Almost Time! Momma with her grandsons My parents and I Parents with Connie and Momma The boys being silly while waiting for guests to arrive Matt posing for me Meg doing what I tell her (haha, great photo) First glimpse of the bride with her sisters and little flower girl - gorgeous! The Ceremony Lauren with the little flower girl, Jessica Ruth's turn Next is Megan And Leanne (yep - 4 blond bridesmaids) Hope emerges with her dad, Simon (breathe, Hope, breathe!) All smiles! Great intro by their friend and officiant, Nat Ohhhh love Lauren's reading (e.e. cummings poem - I carry my heart in your heart - so sweet) Joni's scripture reading Personal vows Hope's actually got a tear or two from me (which is super rare for me, seriously!) Family and bridesmaids Ring time Almost married! Ohhhh the kiss! I think I like this picture more than the kiss - that is LOVE! Signing the registry Maid of honour signs Best man signs Mardi and Connie watching on One more We're married!!!!! Gorgeous dress Hope! Dinner & Speeches Post-wedding picture (you can't see it but my shoes also match the belt...) Simon and Sonia listening to the emcee Jamie and Hope (Jamie is probably heckling already) Matt and Meg (such a cute picture) Mmmmm dessert trio Most of the next pics are in black and white - bad lighting... Uncle John - the emcee (he spoke at our wedding as well - he's just that good!) First speech - Hope's parents Next up is Jamie's parents Then Matt got to speak in retaliation for his brother's speech at our wedding, haha (just kidding, he actually did a really great job, although Jamie did as well at ours) Grandparents and family listen on - love this picture - everyone looks so focused Listening and thinking of rebuttals He was actually nice, haha, but he did have to have the last word! Cake Cutting & Dance Party Using the family sword to cut the cake Cake was chocolate and vanilla swirl, cupcakes were red velvet or peanut butter chocolate! First dance - City in Colour - The Girl Almost teared up a little here too but held it together somehow Yay Jamie and Hope! Time to party! Just wanted to see the string lights all lit up - cousins Chris and Diana relaxing in the lounge Meg playing DJ *PS - I do not like using my flash - EVER* Yep...that's my husband...dancing? Proud parents drinking and watching the boys make idiots of themselves Night must come to an end! Distillery quiet and beautiful late at night Last one as I wait for a cab... A little macro of Matt's boutonniere the next morning Just a little instagram shot - I have a few more of dancing and other random moments I'll post separately next week!
