Matt and I went on our first date, and had our first kiss, 5 years ago today. We met a few weeks before this at university in 2006, but I ran away from him those few times to avoid the awkward porch moment. When you get married, your numbers start all over. In a few weeks, we will have been married 6 months, but we have been together for over 5 years, and been a family, living together, for two and a half. I'm looking forward to our first wedding anniversary, where we will be somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea, on a cruise, enjoying the sun in the day and the stars at night. I'm also looking forward to many more real and old anniversaries, and surprises like the one I found on the kitchen counter when I got home:
