All The Little Details!
Some vendor reviews, and pictures from Erin and Joni, who did a great job getting all the details that went into the day.
I added a few of my own as well!
I added a few of my own as well!
Dress, Shoes, & Accessories: I mentioned already that my wedding dress is Pronovias, and my shoes are from Browns. Matt actually found the shoes with me, and I knew they were perfect - I was looking for bright blue shoes, with a peep toe (since my toes would be pretty). Funny story - the week before I did a 5 K run at the cottage for charity and ended up bruising my toe pretty badly. My mom said that it was my other `something blue`. My mom actually bought my purse for me. Funny enough, she found it at a random kiosk at Union Station, and knew it was exactly what I was looking for. Although I hardly used it, it was a nice accessory for pictures at for during the reception, and I`ve used it as purse for a few weddings already. In terms of accessories, I had a flower in my hair, chandelier earrings, and a pearl bracelet. My flower and earrings was purchased through Etsy, with Prim and Posies, and DZtudio, respectively. The flower had little mother of pearl beads in the center and lace on the edges. My earrings were also pearl beads, with crystals to make them sparkle. My bracelet was my `something borrowed` from my mom, with pearls and one black pearl in the center.
Floral Decor: All the floral decor was done by Audrey`s Flowers in Scarborough. I know Cheryl, our florist, through a friend, and she did an incredible job. The bouquets were roses, hydrangeas, stephanotis, and other pretty ivory and pink little flowers. My bouquet was a larger version with more roses and a bit more colour texture to it. There were little crystals in the stephanotis to add some bling as well - overall, it was beautiful! The moms had rose corsages, and the dads boutonniers matched. The groom and groomsmen boutonniers were stephanotis. The table arrangements were more ivory flowers, with a bit of pink, and a spring of blue orchid to add some dark colour of the blue we had mixed into our creamy decor. The altar arrangements were similar, but with larger filler flowers in pewter vases, instead of the square crystal vases at the tables. There were also crystal ornaments hanging from the alter arrangements, which we kept and will use on our Christmas tree this year!
Tables & Chairs: The linens, chair covers, and cake stand were from Fantastik Trading. I worked with Fanny, who did a great decor job with all the tables, the head table, and the cake. We went with ivory damask linens and ivory swag chair covers. I wanted Chiavari Chairs, but they weren`t worth the price for rented seating for one night. The room looked great with the covers, and I`m glad it all worked out!
Cake: I talked about the cake in the reception section, but again it was made my Daniela Mier of The Cake & Sweets Designer, and was a simple 3 tier lemon-raspberry buttercream with white fondant and royal icing dotting. The flowers around it were provided by Cheryl as well. The sword used to cut the cake is a family heirloom, and family tradition to do the first cut with it!
Accessory Tables (Favours, Card Box, Frames, Guestbook): The favours at the wedding were white bistro mugs, filled with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and Hershey kisses & hugs. I got the mugs from my dad`s TTC supply company, Oscar Parrot. The personalized coffee, tea & hot chocolate were from Wedding Favours Canada. The Kisses and Hugs were from Bulk Barn (and I still have a TON left over), and the tulle and ribbon were from Michaels. We had another table that had photos of our grandparents and parents weddings, our card box, and guest book. our guest book was made my Matt`s mom and sister, using My Publisher, and it turned out great! People signed around all the pictures, and we`ll be able to keep it forever. The favour table, the guest book table, and the photo booth all had a frame with a little poem, letting people know what to do - Matt helped me a lot with the poems! I don`t have many pictures of the card box during the night, as Matt`s parents took it away to keep it safe in their room as the reception progressed (a lot of people ATTEMPTED to crash the wedding as the night went on), and had to tear it to shreds because I forgot to add in a way to open it to get the cards out! Oh well, it was a DIY card box anyway! I also DIY`d the seating chart, and printed it through Staples. I would show a picture, but it has lots of last names, so I left it out!
Rings: Our rings were from Tiffany, which included my engagement ring - simple Tiffany Cut (6 prong, brilliant) in platinum, and our wedding bands. My band is a half ring of tiny diamonds (there are 9, I just counted), in platinum, and Matt`s is a thicker, solid platinum band. Our Tiffany contact, Simon, was incredible. He helped Matt so much in the beginning, and throughout the process. Matt got me my silver apple pendant a few years ago from Tiffany too, and we got Matt`s mom a pretty necklace for her birthday this year too. Hopefully Matt will keep using him in the future! :p
Stationary: The programs and invitations were done by my good friend, Marta, of Impress Invitations. We are coworkers now and she helped me so much this year. I did some of the design, but she really polished them all and made it all work together.
